Program Overview

This course provides intensive training on complex payroll functions and regulations. Attendees explore issues such as how the payroll function impacts the accounting, benefits, and human resources departments, as well as more complicated legal issues like benefits taxation, third-party sick pay reporting, and involuntary deductions. The hands-on course offers proven practices for managing a cost-effective payroll department and practical experience that can be immediately applied on the job. Each attendee will receive access to the Payroll Source Online for three months and the Payroll Source Study Guide, 2020 edition.

Payroll Administration Certificate Program and the CPP Exam

Course attendees have the opportunity to take the CPP: Certified Payroll Professional certification exam during the regularly scheduled testing window. Schedule early! The Fall window is open from September 5 through November 7, 2020. Exams administered from September 5, 2020 through September 10, 2021, feature questions based on federal laws and regulations in effect as of January 1, 2020.

Advance registration is required. The Payroll Administration Certificate Program registration fee does not include the certification exam fee.

Recertification Credit Hours

Earn up to 29 Recertification Credit Hours (RCHs), 2.9 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), or 34 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours. No advance preparation required. Fields of Study: Taxes = 22.0, Business Law = 12.0

ACE Credits

Attendees that successfully complete this course and score 80% or higher on the post test can earn up to 4.0 ACE credits.
