This course is an important first step in payroll education that covers the basic procedures, processes, and terminology defining the daily workload of the beginning payroll practitioner. It provides a thorough overview of the laws and regulations that affect payroll. Practical experience is also gained through "hands-on" computer-based exercises that allow each participant to work through actual payroll forms and payroll calculations. Each attendee will receive Payroll Practice Fundamentals.

Individuals who are just entering the payroll profession, supervisors and managers new to the payroll environment, and those preparing for the Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) and Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) exams.

Course attendees have the opportunity to take the FPC: Fundamental Payroll Certification exam on Friday afternoon at the end of each course.
Advance registration is required. The Payroll 101: Foundations of Payroll Certificate Program registration fee does not include the certification exam fee.
