Program Overview

Advanced Payroll Concepts is the third step in the APA’s Progression Series. This course teaches ways to increase your ROI with advanced payroll training while ensuring your ability to prepare Forms W-2c and 941-X. It also includes the white collar exemption rules, complex benefits issues, an expatriate taxation overview, unemployment insurance, payroll systems, payroll auditing, and leadership concepts.

Class Schedule

Virtual Classroom
Time: 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. EDT
Duration: Two hours with a five-minute break
Number of Class Sessions: Six
The virtual classroom uses an online training center. The course is presented in segments which cannot be purchased separately.

Interactive Virtual
Classroom opens: 8:15 a.m. CDT
Class: 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CDT
The Interactive Virtual course uses Zoom. There will be morning and afternoon breaks and a lunch break.

Credit Information

Earn up to: 12 Recertification Credit Hours (RCHs), 1.2 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), or 12 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits. No advance preparation required. Fields of Study: Taxes = 7.0, Business Law = 3.5, Communications and Marketing = 1.5
